Through The Years
Our History
In 1985, Tom Staples founded The Lawn Sprinkler Guy, a locally-owned company that specializes in lawn irrigation, service, and installation. Within a year, the business grew to serve over 100 customers. From 2011 to 2014, the company won the Angie’s List Super Service Award for irrigation repair & installation services, which was given to only the top ten percent of service providers in the area. In 2012, Tom retired and Scott Jarred became the new owner & president, bringing a new mission and expanding the business to include turf health & maintenance services.
By 2015, The Lawn & Sprinkler Guys had installed their 800th custom lawn sprinkler system and had repaired existing & installed new irrigation systems for customers throughout the Greater Kansas City Metro Area. They also launched their Turf & Maintenance Division that focuses on helping customers build thick, lush lawns. In 2019, the company experienced growth and began promoting its real value proposition, adding over 5 new team members and over 1,000 new homeowners as clients.
