Scott Jarred’s expertise in irrigation system design, as well as irrigation service & repair, has been well honed. Since leaving TWA years ago, his experience within and dedication to the field of irrigation is unmatched: repair technician, inventor, patent holder, part manufacturer, company director, and entrepreneur.

Since purchasing a small sprinkler repair company in 2010, Scott worked to build 3,000+ business relationships with clients all over the Kansas City Metro Area.  His small business has grown from 2 employees focused solely on sprinkler repair to a team of 14+ who specialized in all aspects of lawn & landscape; irrigation installation, irrigation repair & service, turf health & development, property maintenance, landscape, drainage, among many other specialties.

1985
We Helped Our First Customer
Tom Staples founded a locally-owned, customer – oriented company specializing in lawn irrigation, service, and installation. After the first year, Tom had built The Lawn Sprinkler Guy business to over 100 customers.

2011
Award, Awards, & Awards!
This year began our fourth consecutive year of winning the Angie’s List Super Service Award for irrigation repair & installation services. This award was, at the time, bestowed to only the top ten percent of service providers in the area. We’re proud to have earned this distinction year-after-year during the height of AngiesList’s popularity, having earned 700+ online reviews on the site in multiple categories.

2012
A New Owner & Renewed Focus
Tom retired in 2012 and Scott Jarred became the new owner & president. With new management, and a new perspective and mission, the business expanded to include turf health & maintenance services.

2015
Our Year Of Growth
The Lawn & Sprinkler Guys continued to add to our professional family, servicing the irrigation system of our 3,000th irrigation service customer and having installed our 800th custom lawn sprinkler system.  We’ve repaired existing & installed new irrigation systems for customers in every city, in every corner of the Greater Kansas City Metro Area.

It was in this year that we launched our Turf & Maintenance Division, focused on helping our irrigation client’s build thick, lush lawns not only through proper irrigation, but by adding proper soil, nutrients, and weed management.

2019
Creating & Delivering Meaningful Solutions
In 2019, as we experienced growth, we realized we needed to begin promoting our real value proposition. Each of our divisions– Irrigation, Turf, Lawn Renovation, and Landscape & Maintenance, work in tandem to create a strategy and execute a plan for our customer’s property that will bare results they’ll be proud of.

Sadly, in 2019, we lost our longtime Office Manager, Debbie, to brain cancer. Debbie had been with the company alomost since it’s inception. Her’s was the cheerful and kind voice you heard answer our phone when you called. She will be missed dearly.

The Lawn & Sprinkler Guys continues to add to our professional family, adding over 5 new team members in 2019 and early 2020. We continue to develop new relationships each season; in 2019, we added over 1,000 homeowners as clients, located all over KC.

We look forward to growing over the next seasons by continuing to provide quality services and outstanding customer service.
